VILLA BELLANGELO

Villa Bellangelo was founded in 2002 by Michael Litterio as a Finger Lakes winery with a vision of the future. Michael initiated a tradition at Villa Bellangelo of crafting wonderfully distinct Finger Lakes wines, by blending traditional European and modern American winemaking methods to produce some of the areas best wines.

The Missick family recently acquired Villa Bellangelo from Mr. Litterio and is honored to have the opportunity to build upon Villa Bellangelo’s legacy and reputation, and looks forward to continuing to offer Finger Lakes wine country visitors and customers premier service and a perfect product for many years to come.

By sourcing both hybrid and vinifera varietals, Villa Bellangelo produces a wide spectrum of wines including Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Seyval Blanc, Merlot, Chardonnay and Bellangelo’s signature Moscato.

Box2_largeFLX Red

Production Notes:  A dry, oak-aged “House Red” crafted from Finger Lakes vinifera varietals, and bottled in a 3 Liter pouch (the equivalent of 4 bottles). The current blend is Pinot Noir (9%) and Merlot (91%). *FLX Red and FLX White is available in bottle format as well.

Tasting & Pairing Notes: Soft mouth-feel with strawberry notes and earthy character stay on the palate with a lingering finish. This lighter bodied red wine has been crafted to be a cost efficient way for restaurants to introduce a local house red that is both delicious and profitable.

Production Notes: A semi-dry “House White” crafted from Finger Lakes grapes, and bottled in a 3 Liter Pouch (the equivalent of 4 bottles).

Tasting & Pairing Notes: A refreshing, fruity food wine, complimenting most poultry and seafood dishes.

2012Moscato_1024x1024Moscato

Production Notes: Their best selling, semi-sparkling, Moscato is fermented cold to preserve its refreshing flavor profile.

Tasting & Pairing Notes: On the nose, peach and tropical fruit dominate. The palate introduces peach, lychee, and tropical flowers, and the finish is clean, crisp, with a hint of lingering sweetness.
