MCGREGOR VINEYARD

McGregor Vineyard is one of the oldest vineyards in the northeastern United States devoted to growing vinifera grapes, the fine wine European grape varieties.  The vineyard was established in 1971 and the winery in 1980 by Bob and Marge McGregor. The winery is run by their son and his wife, John and Stacey McGregor. In addition to being a family owned and operated vineyard and winery, it is also an estate winery. Vinifera wines are 100% estate grown, hybrid and native grapes are purchased locally. Production varies by year, but is typically 20,000 gallons per year.

MV Highlands Red label 2Highlands Red

Production Notes: A dry, oak-aged blend of vinifera and hybrid grapes including Lèon Millot, Cabernet Franc, Saperavi & Serksiya Charni. Estate grown. Residual sugar: 0.5%, IRF Scale: Dry

Tasting & Pairing Notes:  Soft and velvety in the mouth with excellent fruity character and a smooth finish. This everyday red wine pairs very well with spicy foods, BBQ ribs and red sauces.

MV Seyval Blanc labelSeyval Blanc

Production Notes: Residual sugar:  1.75%, IRF Scale: Semi-Dry

Tasting & Pairing Notes: Grapes from Emery Vineyards- west side of Keuka Lake. This crisp, nearly dry vintage has aromas of apple, pear and lime. Pairs very well with seafood and is a great anytime wine.

MV Semi Dry Riesling label 22012 Semi-Dry Riesling

Production Notes: Estate Grown. Residual sugar: 3.0%, IRF Scale: Sweet

Tasting & Pairing Notes: This vintage is strikingly crisp and zesty. It has aromas and flavors reminiscent of peach, apricot, nectarine and citrus fruit. This elegant wine tastes nearly dry and has excellent sugar/acid balance. It’s a true reflection of why the Finger Lakes region is known for the finest Rieslings in the world.
